Dental Assistant

Dental assistants play a crucial role in supporting dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of dental practices. Their responsibilities include a mix of clinical and administrative tasks, providing assistance to both the dentist and patients.

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Chairside Assistance: Assist dentists during patient examinations and dental procedures, handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort.
  2. X-ray Procedures: Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
  3. Sterilization: Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment for procedures.
  4. Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatments, explain post-operative care, and provide oral health education.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain and update patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories.
  6. Appointment Scheduling: Assist with appointment scheduling and manage patient flow within the dental office.
  7. Front Desk Support: Occasionally perform front desk tasks, such as answering phones and greeting patients.

 Qualifications:

  • Dental assistant training or certification from a training program.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and instruments.
  • X-ray certification may be required depending on the state

Dental Administrative Position

Dental administrative professionals are responsible for managing the business and operational aspects of a dental practice. They ensure the efficient flow of administrative processes, handle patient interactions, and support the overall success of the dental office.

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Appointment Scheduling: Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring an organized schedule for the dental office.

 Qualifications:
