My name is Maddie and I just graduated from the Union Centre Institute 10 week dental assisting program. During this program I have learned so much from my teachers and peers that will help boost my confidence and knowledge for the real dental field . There is so much I now know from taking the time to learn and fully submerge myself in this experience. A few things I learned were how to take X-rays, scans, charting, learning instruments and different procedures. Most importantly I found how to treat a patient and provide the care they deserve. I currently landed a job in Endodontics and there is nothing more exciting than to be making a difference in others lives. I believe going through this program opened so many doors for me in the dental world. I am so thankful!

This program taught me so much, especially considering I had zero dental experience before enrolling. It truly gave me a strong starting point and a realistic understanding of what to expect—not that you’ll know everything on your first day, but you’ll have the foundation and resources you need to see if dentistry is the right fit.
 
I still use the materials and resources from the program in my job today whenever I need clarification or a refresher. When I began my journey in the dental field I had no clue where to start. Union Centre Institute gave me the building blocks I needed. I was unsure and nervous when classes started, those feelings went away with the support of my instructors and classmates. During my 10 week program, I learned the proper passing technique, names of instruments and earned my radiology license. After my program with Union Centre Institute, I was able to take my ATM RDA Certification exam, and soon will be completing my Coronal Polishing Exam. As I am working as a now Registered Dental Assistant, I am continuing my education to be come a Dental Hygienist. This is all thanks to Union Centre Institute.

Why - I chose dental because I have always been interested in teeth and helping people feel confident in their smile, I chose union centre institute because I used to be a patient at orthodontic specialists and saw the advertisement for the program and it always stuck with me. 
 
Turning Point - What gave me the confidence to land this job was to just show offices that I am willing to learn and grow in this field of work. 
 
The Result -It feels great to have secured my career before even graduating, I am excited to learn more and help people feel confident in their smiles.
